The year ahead

Happy New Year!

Friends of Chadkirk met in the Chapel last night to summarise the achievements of 2012 and to look forward to the coming year. While there are uncertainties about the evolving structure for management which are beyond our control, the decision was made to draw up a calendar for the year as a starting point. Here is a provisional list of the events visitors will be enjoying in 2013.

Gardening Time for volunteers:
First Saturday (2-4pm) and third Thursday (10.30am-12.30) of every month.

Meetings:
Friends of Chadkirk meet every month on 1st Thursday of the month.
Business meetings alternate with a varied mix of social meetings.

Thursday 3 January 7-9pm Business meeting
(There will be no meeting of volunteers for Gardening on Saturday 5th January)

Thursday 14 February 7-9pm Social. Remember 1953.

Sunday 3 March St Chad’s Day Service in the Chapel

Sunday 31 March Easter Sunday Service in Chadkirk Chapel 3pm

Monday 1st April Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday 26 May Scarecrow making in The Walled Garden

Saturday 8 June Plant Sale in the gardens 2.30-4pm
*Please note that this is a week earlier than originally planned.

Wednesday 24 July Team begin Well Dressing for Festival TBC

Sunday 28 July Chadkirk Festival

Saturday 14 September Bat and Bird Box Building in Chapel

Friday 25 October Harvest Supper in Chapel

Sunday 27 October Harvest Service in Chadkirk Chapel

Sunday 8 December Carol Services at 3pm and 4-30pm in Chadkirk Chapel
