At last night’s AGM more details unfolded about the months ahead and some of the activities planned for spring and summer.
In March there’s a chance for gardeners to come along and do a little in the Walled Garden and around the Chapel. At this time of year a small amount of work makes a big difference to the way the garden looks. It sets the scene for the garden to flourish as the seasons progress. There are a range of jobs suitable for a range of fitness levels. A pleasant way to spend a few hours in the open air, in a beautiful space. Interested? Join us on Thursday 20th March 10-12 in the Walled Garden.
Monday morning Tai Chi in the Chapel will continue throughout March.
In April, there will be another opportunity to garden in the Walled Garden on Saturday 5th April 2-4pm and Thursday morning 24th April.
Easter Sunday falls on 20th April and you are invited to join us for an Easter Service in Chadkirk Chapel led by Andy Bull of St. Mark’s.
On Easter Monday there will be outdoor fun and games for the family. Youngsters and their carers can enjoy a game of Scrambled Eggs in and around the Chapel and Walled Gardens. While entry is 50p, there’s an easter treat for all at the end.
20th and 21st April all welcome. No booking required.
The pattern of garden days continues throughout the spring and summer – the afternoon of the first Saturday of the month and the morning of the third Thursday in each month. Volunteers who garden here make a real difference. It is a delight to see the beauty of the garden unfold, to get the satisfaction of doing a little something to enable this to happen and to see the pleasure that visitors get from this unique space.
For those who like to plan ahead:
